Fair payouts, no hidden cuts
Famishly takes 8% from you the cook plus 1% to a food charity, so 9% in total comes off your side. Buyers add a small 2% service fee on top (1% Famishly + 1% charity), which is how 2% of every order reaches charity. Separately, your payment processor (Stripe) takes about 3% + 30¢ per order to move the money - that is the cook's processor cost, not ours. Your fee is the same on every plan and only drops with your sales volume.
On a $20 order, roughly:

Your fee drops automatically as you grow: 7% at $500/month, 6% at $2k/month, 5% at $5k/month. Upgrading your plan does not change your fee - only your sales volume does.
2% of every order feeds people
Two percent of every order reaches a food charity your buyers choose at checkout (1% from the cook side + 1% from the buyer's service fee) - the UN World Food Programme, World Central Kitchen, the Global Food Banking Network, or Action Against Hunger. It is built into the fee, so every meal sold helps feed someone who needs one.
