Ingredients

6 servings
  • 3 x 6oz cans canned clams
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 45 ml flour
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 240 ml milk
  • 5 ml thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

Plan my prep
  1. Step 1.Cook bacon until crisp. Remove, leave fat.
  2. Step 2.Saute onion, celery, garlic in fat 5 min.
  3. Step 3.Add flour, cook 2 min. Add clam juice from cans plus milk.
  4. Step 4.Add potatoes. Simmer 15 min until tender.
  5. Step 5.Add clams and cream. Heat through but don't boil. Top with bacon.
