Ingredients
6 servings
- 3 x 6oz cans canned clams
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 onion
- 3 stalks celery
- 2 cloves garlic
- 45 ml flour
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 240 ml heavy cream
- 240 ml milk
- 5 ml thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Make it your way
Instructions
- Step 1.Cook bacon until crisp. Remove, leave fat.
- Step 2.Saute onion, celery, garlic in fat 5 min.
- Step 3.Add flour, cook 2 min. Add clam juice from cans plus milk.
- Step 4.Add potatoes. Simmer 15 min until tender.
- Step 5.Add clams and cream. Heat through but don't boil. Top with bacon.
