Ingredients

- 240 ml whole milk, warmed to about 110 F
- 7 g active dry yeast
- 50 g granulated sugar, for dough
- 85 g unsalted butter, melted, for dough
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 5 g salt
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 85 g unsalted butter (filling), softened
- 200 g light brown sugar, packed
- 16 g ground cinnamon
- 115 g cream cheese, softened, for frosting
- 30 g butter (frosting), softened
- 120 g powdered sugar
- 5 ml vanilla extract, for frosting

Instructions
- Step 1.Stir the yeast into the warm milk with a pinch of the sugar and let it sit 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
- Step 2.Mix in the remaining dough sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt, then add the flour and mix to a soft dough.
- Step 3.Knead 8 to 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a mixer until smooth and elastic, then place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled.
- Step 4.Roll the dough on a floured surface into a 16 x 12 inch (40 x 30 cm) rectangle.
- Step 5.Spread the softened filling butter over the dough, then sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar and cinnamon, pressing it in.
- Step 6.Roll up tightly from a long side into a log and pinch the seam closed.
- Step 7.Cut into 12 equal rolls and arrange in a greased 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) pan, cover, and let rise 30 to 45 minutes until puffy.
- Step 8.Heat the oven to 350 F (175 C) and bake the rolls 22 to 28 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
- Step 9.Beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth and creamy.
- Step 10.Spread the frosting over the rolls while still warm and serve.
