  • 120 ml jasmine rice
  • 1.44 l chicken broth
  • 480 ml water
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 5 ml sesame oil
  • to serve soy sauce
  • to serve green onions
  • to serve soft-boiled egg

  1. Step 1.Rinse rice. Add to pot with broth, water, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Step 2.Bring to a boil, then simmer 45-60 min until rice breaks down into a silky porridge.
  3. Step 3.Stir occasionally, add water if needed. It should be thick and flowing.
  4. Step 4.Drizzle with sesame oil. Serve with toppings.
