  • 1.36 kg chicken pieces (legs and thighs)
  • 113.4 g bacon lardons
  • 240 ml pearl onions
  • 226.8 g cremini mushrooms
  • 1 bottle red Burgundy wine
  • 240 ml chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 15 ml tomato paste
  • 30 ml butter

Plan my prep
  1. Step 1.Brown chicken in batches in a Dutch oven. Set aside.
  2. Step 2.Cook bacon until crisp. Add pearl onions, cook until golden.
  3. Step 3.Add mushrooms, cook 5 min. Add garlic and tomato paste.
  4. Step 4.Return chicken. Add wine and broth. Braise covered 45 min.
  5. Step 5.Remove chicken. Reduce sauce 15 min. Swirl in butter. Return chicken.
