Ingredients

2 servings
  • 480 ml cooked day-old rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 113.4 g shrimp or chicken
  • 3 shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 30 ml kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 2.5 ml shrimp paste (terasi)
  • 1-2 bird's eye chili
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions

Instructions

Plan my prep
  1. Step 1.Blend shallots, garlic, chili, shrimp paste to a paste.
  2. Step 2.Fry paste in oil until fragrant, 2 min.
  3. Step 3.Add shrimp/chicken, cook through.
  4. Step 4.Add rice, toss over high heat. Add kecap manis.
  5. Step 5.Fry eggs separately. Serve rice topped with egg and green onions.
