Cater weddings, events,
and everything in between.
Already a home cook on Famishly? Any cook can offer catering - just switch it on and list your packages (per person, per meal, or a flat event fee). No application or interview.
Simple to switch on
Catering is just your home cooking, at scale. If you already sell on Famishly as a home cook, you can turn catering on in one click - no application, interview, or waiting. You keep your normal storefront and add catering packages on top for bulk orders and events.
List what you can make, set your maximum guests, and price each package the way that suits you - per person, per meal, or a flat fee for the whole event. Bookings run through the same secure, escrow-protected checkout as your regular orders.

Caterer mode unlocks
Accept event bookings, RFQ bids, catering packages
You appear in the Famishly Catering directory. Buyers can request quotes directly. You receive RFQs from the events board (weddings, corporate, family dinners). You set your own per-person pricing, minimums, and availability. Payments go through escrow - you get paid once the event is confirmed delivered.
What Caterer mode gives you
Event booking requests
Buyers submit event details (date, headcount, budget, cuisine). You review and respond with a custom quote directly from your dashboard.
RFQ board access
Browse open event requests posted by buyers. Submit a bid - price, proposal, optional menu. The buyer selects one caterer and all others are notified automatically.
Catering packages
Set reusable per-person pricing tiers (e.g. "Corporate lunch from $18/person"). Buyers book a package directly without waiting for a quote.
Catering directory listing
Your profile appears in the /catering hub with your event specialties, pricing, and verified Famishly track record as social proof.
Escrow-protected payments
Buyer funds are held securely until the event is delivered. You cook knowing you are covered. The buyer releases funds when satisfied.
Verified badge
A "Verified caterer" badge on your storefront showing you earned the status through real orders - not just an application.
Catering fees
The fee model for catering bookings is the same as regular orders.
Example: $500 catering booking
Common questions
How do I become a caterer?
If you already sell as a home cook on Famishly, just switch catering on from this page or your dashboard - it is instant, with no application or interview. Then add your catering packages and you can start accepting event bookings right away.
Do I have to stop doing regular cook orders once I become a caterer?
Not at all. Caterer mode is additive. Your regular storefront, pre-orders, pickup windows, and subscription boxes all continue exactly as before. Caterer status just adds the catering directory listing and event booking tools on top.
What types of events can I cater?
Anything that gets posted to the RFQ board or requested directly: weddings, corporate lunches, birthday parties, cultural celebrations, family reunions, meal-prep services. You set your own event types and minimum headcount.
How does escrow work?
When a buyer books a catering event, they pay the full amount upfront. The funds are held by Stripe in escrow. You receive payment after the event is confirmed - typically when the buyer marks it as delivered on the platform. If a cancellation happens before the event date, Famishly refund policy applies.
Can I decline event requests?
Yes. Every inquiry or RFQ is optional - you respond only if you want the booking. No penalties for passing on requests that do not fit your calendar or capacity.
